draw_threeD.c

Description

draw_threeD.c is a source code file from the bpdemo application. It is not a standalone command-line tool. This file is intended to contain the initialization and drawing logic for the 3D visualization window (DA3D).

However, the drawing functionality in this file is commented out, suggesting that the 3D view is an incomplete or placeholder feature in this version of the application.

Functionality

The file contains two functions related to the 3D display window:

void init_threeD()

  • Purpose: To initialize the 3D drawing area when it is first created or displayed.
  • Action: This function retrieves the window’s geometry (width, height, etc.) from the X server and stores it in the DA3D parameter structure. It also resets the internal state for mouse interactions (e.g., button1_down = 0). The code for creating an off-screen pixmap for double-buffering is commented out.

void draw_threeD()

  • Purpose: To render the contents of the 3D visualization window.
  • Action: In its current state, all the drawing code within this function is commented out. The placeholder code suggests it was intended to set up a simple 2D coordinate system and draw a diagonal line for testing purposes. As it stands, this function performs no action, and the 3D window will appear empty.

This file sets up the framework for a 3D view but lacks any implementation for rendering 3D graphics.
